Besides my Link to Practice/ L2P seminar, I would say that this course is the most useful Ed course I’ve taken so far. With the way the world is going, I believe it is very important for teachers to incorporate tech related content into their classroom as much as possible. For my EDCI 336 inquiry project, I decided to further develop my cooking skills. I was able to take some time to branch out and try some new combinations of meals, flavours, and cooking processes. Because my improvement is quite apparent in my day to day cooking, I am very content with the topic that I chose for this assignment.
Here are some photos of me cooking throughout the semester.
Each week I would cook a new meal and then film and post a video of my roommate reviewing what I made. Although I learned a lot when it came to the cooking portion of my inquiry, I found the video creation component to be more valuable.
Playing around with iMovie has made me realize that I love creating videos. I believe that this is something I want to bring into my own classroom. Whether it’s in the form of creating videos for teaching or teaching students how to create and edit videos of their own, I want to try it.
